About us

"If you can't get it at Adrians....you probably won't get it anywhere!"

We are an independent record store owned by Adrian Rondeau in Wickford, Essex. Adrian began trading in records in 1969 at various markets around Essex before moving into premises above Wickford market. Soon after, with the business growing rapidly, Adrians moved into larger premises in Wickford High Street in 1980, part of which the business still occupies to this day. By the late 1980's Adrians was the largest independent record store in the U.K.

From the earliest days of the business Adrians has also run a specialist mail order service, shipping records to all four corners of the globe. In the pre-internet days we produced a yearly catalogue along with quarterly newsletters which were must-haves for record collectors across the world. We now run an online store alongside our Amazon Marketplace and Ebay stores.

Over the years we have had many special guests visit us in store including Donny Osmond, Chas 'n' Dave, Kenny Thomas, Amazulu, Paul King, Alvin Stardust & Vince Clarke.

In October 2005 we staged an in-store appearance by McFly which brought over 4000 people in Wickford High Street and forced the local Police to close the High Street, Ooops! However it was a great fun day, enjoyed by all those that came and got to meet the band and get their CDs autographed. That visit was followed the next year by visits from Son Of Dork, Matt Willis and Morning Runner.

Each year we also participate in Record Store Day with many artists releasing special limited edition records for fans and collectors alike to enjoy.

With 50,000+ titles on CD and vinyl packed into the shelves of our shop and even more in our warehouse storage area, there's not much the shop doesn't have! If we don't have it we can always order it for you if it's still in print - "If you can't get it at Adrians, you can't get it anywhere" has been our motto for many years.

All of our products are NEW, UNPLAYED and in MINT condition unless otherwise stated. We are constantly adding new titles from our extensive warehouse and we cover all genres and formats.

We have very large stocks of NEW and UNPLAYED titles which have been stored in our warehouse since the day they were delivered to us by the record label many, many years ago. We have titles which are still NEW that you simply cannot obtain in this condition anywhere else.

You can phone and speak to a real person about any particular item that you are interested in. Great customer service is something we are well-known for and we have access to many large databases and reference books to help you find what you are looking for. Alternatively you can contact us by Email using our email address or the contact form on our website.

We accept all major credit cards (except Amex) and personal cheques. We are happy to post to almost anywhere in the world. Orders placed through our own online store can be paid for via Paypal only at this time.

We are also members of the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA).
